You see, my current situation is that although I am a Roman Catholic, I have not been to church in around 3 years. Ever since I moved down to Georgia (from Washington) I realized what an important role that religion plays in life, because many of my southern friends are very religious.
My parents are religious, but it’s just that they don’t ever go to church. Also, it’s sort of a joke when I try to say mealtime prayers. Many times they aren’t even paying attention, and I feel stupid even saying my prayers with them.
Obviously, I can’t go to church if they don’t go (but I really want to go, I’ve asked them why we don’t go and they like to hedge me or change the subject)
I’m 15 and only had a Communion once, Confession once, and I have yet to be Confirmed.
What can I do?
