Not unless you are a trained extraordinary minister of holy Communion (EMHC) and have been duly deputed to take Communion to the homebound, in which case you should receive the host to take to your wife outside of the Communion line. Communicants may not just show up with a pyx to be filled and take away a host for purposes unknown to the pastor. And EMHCs to the homebound should not be scandalizing the lay faithful by having their pyxes filled in the Communion line because that gives the impression that anyone can present a pyx to be filled.
If you are not already an EMHC, then call your parish and either ask for the necessary training or ask for your wife to be put on the list for visits from an EMHC to the homebound.
