Can I take communion with other Christians?

I will attending a Via de Cristo in Salt Lake City Utah. A VDC is originally know Cursillo to Catholics. I enjoy these three day retreats and often work on a team to spread the Christian faith.

My question: Is taking the Eucharist while celebrating our Lord and Savior a sin. I do not hide my true beliefs of my Catholic teachings. In fact the opposite, I evangilize Catholisim. Please send me guidance.
