Can I use the full Devine Office book for the Short Christian Prayer / group meeting?

I’ve just got notice to bring the short prayer book for our meeting tomorrow, but I only have the LTH book which I borrowed from the church library yesterday. Worse still, I have nothing in practice for either. I read about them, but have never actually done it. I can get this book online, but only after a few days have passed.

Is there a sequence that I can follow in the LTH to just get me through tomorrow morning (10;30)?. My book is also a 1976, so I don’t know if these books are annual in the liturgical calendar and usable.

I’m not sure what you mean by “the short prayer book.”

But if you’re trying to lead some part of the Liturgy of the Hours with a group, and especially if you’re not sure how to do it, I highly recommend this website: DivineOffice.org

You can click on the “hour” you wish to pray, and all the prayers are there, in order, for the current day in the Church calendar. Before I had the LOTH books, I used this website all the time.

The day turned out just fine, and I had help from the person beside me who shared her book with me. It looks like I have some homework(albeit pleasant!) to do.
