Perhaps this will provide some Scriptural reminders for you:

Jesus Saves - How?
You have Michael the archangel on a pole in this web site.

How can you tell someone how Jesus saves…when you don’t know the difference between God an one of the archangels?

As a matter of fact, aren’t the generation of 1914 starting to get old? Time for the light to get brighter!!!

:yup: :amen:

I know the jws view on salvation, Jesus opened the way for salvation if we became jws and excercise faith. 👍
I have noticed a pattern in bible steves posts.
He basicly just puts a BUNCH of links to his jw website.
Instead of discussion…and this is a DISCUSSION board.
Rather then talk bible steve wants everyone to read jw literature all day.

Knowone will get anywhere reading scriptures out of context.
not to menchon the verses that have been changed.

No. For “outside the Church there is no salvation.”
I could have left all of the post in but this piece says rather alot. So a person who lives their life harming no one and helping those who are in need, and thier only “weakness” for want of a better word, is that they are not part of the catholic faith, cannot recieve salvation. surely God has more compassion than that?
And as for the bit about being inculpably ignorant of the gospels, then in the compassion stakes… I rest my case!!!
Hello magisterfaust,

Based on the concerns you’ve expressed here, I think you might find the book, The Holiness of God by R. C. Sproul, a beneficial read. I will buy it for you (or anyone else who would like a copy) if you’d like.

With the Love of Christ,
Pete

the way I understand ‘no salvation outside of the Church’ is that if any person could absolutely know that the Catholic Church beyond a shadow of a doubt was the one and only true Christian Church—pushing aside all bias whether from inheritance or culture or peers or weakness or whatever— and they had a choice of choosing to become a member and they would choose to do so–they are saved. But of course not everyone has had that experience or that opportunity. And I would hope that few would choose to not become a member if it was proved to them that it was the Truth.
Sincere JWs believe they do have the Truth. For whatever reason they are trapped in this false religion, God knows and always loves them. I have known some old timers who could not have survived without being a JW. God keeps those ones. He knows what we need for faith. And He rejects all hypocrites even if they happen to be in the right place.

Of course a JW can be saved and see the Kingdom of Heaven. Even the worst sinner, a Hitler or Stalin, could be forgiven his sins and enter into heaven, if only at his last breath he asked for mercy with a contrite heart. Our Lord’s name is mercy, and His mercy cannot be measured. Were it not for His mercy, none of us sinners would enter into the Kingdon of heaven.

As a catholic, I believe in puratory and penance. Such a sinner may spend a lot of time doing penance for their sins, and “it will be paid to the last penny”, but they will see the Kingdom of Heaven.

“There, except for the grace of God, go I.” These are words to keep always on your mind, when you feel you are starting to judge another. It will keep you humble and remind you that it is only because of His grace, that you can see the Truth and walk in the light. Only God knows the heart of another.

So I have an important question, I was raised in a jws family, but I realized that the Catholic Church is the right religion 👍
But I’m really afraid for my family because they are still jws 😦
Prayer for them can help.
I asked some Protestants and they said that jws can’t be saved because they are not chosen, which made me really sad.
That makes me sad as well because it’s not true. I’m a protestant who does not believe that and besides, people eternal destiny isn’t under Gods jurisdiction and not ours.
I don’t want to go to heaven if my family is going to hell :dts:
We don’'t know if they are or not. But we can make it more likely that they will be in Heaven.
So what do Catholics teach, can my family be saved outside of the church?
The Apostle Paiul said to the jailor in Phillippi “Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved and your entire household.”

As a Catholic, you believe in Jesus Christ don’t you?

Pray and believe and let God do amazing things in your family.

I’m aware that not all protestants believe that, but the ones i talked to did. I think they were hyper calvinists 😃
And i do pray for my family and i will conitinue to do so as long as i’m breathing :gopray2:
And thank you for your kind words
:blessyou:
