Can Jehovah's Witnesses debate on this forum or ?

or is it something else?

I have seen this each and everytime. Hit and run posting, no talk.

Maybe they are not convinced they have the truth? Or they dont think we “deserve” to get the “truth”?

Maybe they see they are ill prepared to come into debate when all they have to arm themselves is the repetious study work they must do each week?

They are hoping we will be unprepared?

I have really gotten upset the last 2 that came and went without really engaging anyone here.

Good question.

I can’t imagine going on JW turf, dropping an well meaning but uninformed accusation, then dropping out. I think its caused by the spiritual maturity that fails to develop because they get all their information from one place.
 
Good insight!. Its a forum, and while we dont always agree, we use it to find out what others say, and why.

I would WANT to know what people were saying about my beliefs if I set them on the table asking them to consider my stuff.

Don’t get upset. I suspect that is just the type of reaction the posters are trying to provoke. I’ve seen it happen time and time again on another discussion board (nonreligious but for ex-jws). They post a propaganda post and then disappear without debate. I believe that if a JW truely came on this forum to have an open discussion that it would mean they have a seed of doubt about their own beliefs.
 
they can debate, whether they choose to is another story:rolleyes: but regardless, they don’t like reading material, or debating anything that questions their society’s beliefs.

in that, they’ll run and hide as experience has shown us :rolleyes: they simply wont go there.

I’m fairly positive that Jehovah’s Witnesses are actively told to refrain from participating on boards like this in any meaningful way, or risk being disfellowed. In a similar manner, they are not allowed to take or read any literature from any other faith when they go door-to-door. I am willing to bet that they’re allowed to come on and present a specific question so as to plant doubts in our faith and then leave, however.

Been there. Done that. I wouldn’t advise it.

Take a hammer and knock yourself on the head with it and you’d be less frusterated. Or imagine watching a dog chase his tail around for hours.

well, iam too seasoned for them to doubt my faith, what with being an ex-witness and all 😃

But you know, the funny thing is that this is all anonymous anyway. Someone could if they really wanted to but all we get are these Trolls who are probably laughing at all our reactions. As far I know it could be the same guy out there getting bored and then thinking it would be fund to mess around with the Catholics for a good ha-ha.
 
Well it appears that their are some on an ANTI-CATHOLIC forum. I can’t tell you the name cause of the rule against swarming. I can tell you it rhymes with “Harm”. If you do go there I recommend staying away from the Catholic portion as they are very much anti-Catholic and will not accept any reasoning no matter how good.

From what I know about the JW “faith”, they are not really even Christian.
They don’t believe in the Trinity.
They don’t believe that Jesus is God, let alone the Son of God.
They don’t believe in the Holy Spirit.
So I guess I am confused.
You want to start going to one of their sites to invite them here to be evangelized? Oh, you brave soul you!!👍

hey, i evangelize them at my door, in the street, on the web.
the only thing i wont do and refuse to do not because iam afraid is to go to the anti Catholic sites. I wont be able to talk to anyone there that is stiff necked and refuses to hear the truth. been there, done that, aint going to do it again.

however, if they want intelligent debate without spewing venom, that is a different story. i will defend the faith with vigor. absolutely, but i wont argue with them. i only provide facts.

jw’s are notoriiosly stiff necked and hard to talk to. its rare when you can find one that is not. that is the kind of person we all look for to evangelize. the hard headed ones wont listen, so its like talking to a brick wall. i don’t bother with them most of the time, because they are not into listening, only trashing others beliefs no matter whether your Catholic
or not. according to them, they are right, and everyone else is wrong.

A person I love dearly is one, and yes, thank you for telling me I am a brave soul,

They dont believe in an eternal soul.

My goal is to get 3 people out and if more great! If one great! If 20 great!

But I have a goal.

Yes, time spent reading electronically information that’s free on the internet takes away potential time to order and spend more $$ on watchtower literature.
