Can jewelry be made from old rosaries?

I have been seeing a LOT of jewelry fashioned out of vintage rosaries on etsy and other places…while I love the idea of wearing symbols of my faith, I cant help but wonder if it is disprespectful or wrong in some way to wear this type of fashion accessory. On the other hand- it would bring my faith to the workplace and around my friends without being “pushy”, and give an opportunity to witness…They aren’t full rosaries- but they are disassembled and repurposed into bracelets etc. What are the teachings/thoughts on this?
