Can men dress immodestly?

(nudges ColorMomma) Doesn’t matter. We’ll get you one of those magic loom things from the seventies. You got this.

Not wearing clothes that accent well-formed muscles and buttocks. Oh, and be careful in well-tailored business suits. Those can be a source of temptation for women. So can the rugged look with a western shirt and jeans. And scrubs. They give off a soap opera doctor appeal. No swim trunks above the knee and no bare chests at the pool.
Hmm, mm, mm 😋

I’m a lady and I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a guy and thought what he was wearing was immodest. But, some things are just too fruity and creepy to be legal for guys to wear. Like speedos and leggings.

Also, I cannot count how many times I was at the gym and wished the guy on the machine near me would just put on a bra.
I snorted my way through this post. I admit it. I’m regretting the last three likes I gave out because THIS POST NEEDS ONE. PREACH!!!

We have created the best thread EVER on CAF. I am cracking up.

Absolutely.

Personally, as a male, I find when a woman wears a skirt, it is more attractive than if she wears pants. (I don’t mean that to sound weird). There is something inherently feminine about skirts, but not pants.

Those things which are sacred should be veiled. A woman’s body is sacred, therefore, it would follow that it should be veiled.

Skirts draw more attention than pants. I often go with jeans/slacks specifically because I don’t want to be noticed.
How so? Genuine question. Not a jab.

I like long skirts myself. Though I admit that’s been a religious revival - literally - because I have issues wearing pants to church. I’m sure the first good nasty winter day here in the Seattle area when I’m parking a block from the Cathedral will change my mind REAL quick.
It feels so right though, lol.
Four Hail Marys before you go. Consider it pregaming for the priest’s penance.

That’s actually part of the appeal of pants for a lot of women.

True beauty lies not in revealing your figure, but in being modest.

There was one guy today who I actually thought was a lady until I saw the beard.

Hmm… I’ve never thought of one drawing more or less attention than the other. I usually go with whatever I feel like, often based off of temperature.

Yeah I used to be like that. But night shift janitorial work cured pretty much every thought I had on dressing for church. Cargo pants and a t-shirt.

I’m not sure either but I’ve experienced the same - I got much more attention if I was dressed feminine, even over a much less covered outfit. (For example, a long skirt and nice blouse got more attention than skinny jeans and a tank top with my bra straps showing.) And not all the attention was exactly positive.

It’s true that they draw more attention, because they’re so uncommon. However, they reveal less than pants.

If you wear a skirt, and a man lusts after you, he is totally to blame, not you at all. If a woman dresses immodestly though, she is, in part, culpable.

To me that’s different. Were I heading in on the back of a night shift I might show up for Mass in my military uniform. Folks can wear whatever they want, for the most part (I think super revealing clothing or tight dresses or the like is a bit inappropriate), as I’m just glad they’re there.

I’m sorry to hear that. 😦

There’s a line between that which is immodest and that which should be banned.

One guess as to where that falls. 🤣🤣🤣
