Prayer is the living relationship between a believer and God.
Not all religions have the fullness of truth of Who God is.
The Jews were the chosen people of God, who believed in one God. They were chosen to be the race to bring forth the Messiah. But to those who rejected Him, they were and have been anticipating a figurehead akin to King David of the OT.
Christ left us His Bride, the Church that was born on Pentecost. The gap here and that of the Bible is the origination and formation of the early Church. And if you study this period, you will see that Scripture and Tradition – meaning the Oral Tradition of Jesus Christ witnessed by His chosen Apostles – in other words, understanding Christ and His Word, Scripture – the Church and Scripture, are inseparable, interwove, and reveal the true intent God intended.
You have to have a centralized human authority, constructed by God, just as He did in the Old Testament. But today He works through those consecrated to Him in truth and spirit. These people are chosen by God, not they choosing themselves to be in authority of the Word of God…Sola Scriptura makes each person more or less their own authority, and this leads to the obvious fragmentation of Christianity we see in America.
Subsequently, our Christian culture in the USA does not have the depth of understanding of the oneness the Lord is calling us to.
