Can my 12 year old son attend non-Catholic services?

My 12 year old son was invited to go to his friends’ non-Catholic church (not sure if it’s a Sunday service or youth group). I would not allow him to go to a Sunday service, but if it were youth group, I’d consider it as long as it weren’t with the Mormon, Unitarian, Jehovah’s Witness, or other type of “church”. I want to stay in line with church teaching. Please advise. Thank you.
