Can my girlfriend and I be roommates?

My girlfriend is disabled and lives on social security. It is hard for her to find a job so social security and money I give her is her only income. I don’t make a ton of money, but I have enough to support myself and her with social security. If Obama cuts social security while we are not married yet…is that ok to get a 2 bedroom apartment and be roommates???
