There are a lot of articles on websites recently discussing about whether the divorced and re-married couples should be admitted to receive holy communion.
It is my understanding that a couple who married in Catholic church shall not divorce and if they do, shall not re-marry again. What about the new converts from other faith, who had already married in a Baptist church, are they living in sin? Are they able to take holy communion?
What is the Orthodox Catholic Teaching about this situation?

Dear friend,

The Catholic Church recognizes the marriages of non-Catholics who have not previously been divorced to be valid. So if they should become Catholics, they do not have to worry about their marital status. Welcome home, by the way.
