Can non-Catholics make the Sign of the Cross?

Good evening! Here is my question: Are non-Catholics allowed to make the Sign of the Cross (on themselves)? I felt moved to do so during Mass on Sunday (and I’m not Catholic ~ yet!), but I want to make sure that I’m not doing something wrong or inappropriate. Thank you!
