Hi, my question is: Can people that cannot have sex like paralized or parapaligics marry
by the church? Two priest that had a talk in our school said that the church does not marry such peoples because they cannot have sex therefore the marriage is not sacramental. Mary and Joseph did not have sex. I have heard also that there were saints that were married but lived as bother and sister. I am very confused! Is this a teaching of the church and can you clarify? Is this in the Catechism and where? there were a lot of students that did not agree because there have been teachings in our school from books
like “Men, Women and The Mistery of Love,” which says that marriage is based on an objective love. Is marriage based on love or sex?
God bless,
Elizabeth
