Hi Everyone,

I am Amy Martin I’m almost 17 in two weeks. I have podcasts on my ipod that I got from Itunes because they were free. My question is since they’re free can I burn them to CD’s? Cause I have been thinking of doing it, but I just need to know if it is ok for me to do it. I hope this makes sense to you all. The podcasts I have are not episodes of a talk show or anything, but music from some cartoons I like to watch. Lol I hope I don’t sound childish by still watching cartoons. Lol and my other question is: Is it sinful to write stories about vampires and mythical creatures? Cause I like to write A LOT I want to be a writer when I get older, and I like to write a lot of fantasy stories, I am even writing poems now about forgiveness. I hope someone or at few a people can get back to me. Thank you all and God Bless.

Your friend, Amy

Okay, well can they be burned to CD’s? Of course they can, but it’s not necessarily right. First of all, I’ll assume they were “illegally” downloaded (you need not acknowledge that). Assuming that is the case, they were already stolen. If they were not illegally downloaded, then I don’t see a problem with making a CD. Check the casts and see what they say about copying. Of course, if you sell the CD without paying for the rights, then that is wrong, but if it’s for personal use, then I see no problem with it. Again, I’ll just assume it was downloaded in an illegal fashion. Basically, if the government says it’s wrong, then you should obey them, as we are told to submit to their authority. I think that is the case here. Hope this helps…😉

Prayers and petitions,

She said that she downloaded them from iTunes, which means she almost certainly downloaded them legally. There are numerous free podcasts available through iTunes.

So, in summary, there should be no issues. Burn all the CDs you like.

If all of that true, then I would say it is fine…

Podcasts are 90% of the time free.

Especially the ones in iTunes.

You can burn them to a cd if you wish.
