Joe370 my comment to you was in refernce to this “True. We cannot know definitively that Jesus even existed, or that Jesus is God or that the bible is the word of God, but we do have faith…”. I don’t understand what point you are trying to make. basically I don’t know how to argue with you on this that we cannot know with definitely that Yeshua existed.
I came across Exsurge Domine & Decet Romanum Pontificem and they deeply disturbed me.
Exsurge Domine “33. That heretics be burned is against the will of the Spirit.”
I have a huge problem with this and I can disagree with it because I am not catholic. Burning heretics is not something the Holy Spirit calls or condones people to do. I have other problems with this document but this is really where I believe I have a strong case to deny the documents Spiritual authority, if nothing else at least on this point.
Decet Romanum Pontificem “Our purpose is that such men should rightfully be ranked with Martin and other accursed heretics and excommunicates, and that even as they have ranged themselves with the obstinacy in sinning of the said Martin, they shall likewise share his punishments and his name, by bearing with them everywhere the title “Lutheran” and the punishments it incurs.”…“On all these we decree the sentences of excommunication, of anathema, of our perpetual condemnation and interdict; of privation of dignities, honours and property on them and their descendants, and of declared unfitness for such possessions; of the confiscation of their goods and of the crime of treason; and these and the other sentences, censures and punishments which are inflicted by canon law on heretics and are set out in our aforesaid missive, we decree to have fallen on all these men to their damnation.”…" We prescribe and enjoin that the men in question are everywhere to be denounced publicly as excommunicated, accursed, condemned, interdicted, deprived of possessions and incapable of owning them. They are to be strictly shunned by all faithful Christians."
This is a quote broken from the whole if you think that I have unfaithfully taken this out of context please tell me. here is the link to them

Do these say that I am a heretic and should be burned or am I misinterpreting these “Infallible” words? Or am I invincibly ignorant?
