My sister in law was put in touch with a “life coach” in another country to discuss her recently deceased husband. This life coach told her he could communicate on some level with the dead. The coach also provided her with her husband’s name and details he could not have known that convinced her that he was in fact talking to him. He told her among other things that he was hugging her and mentioned a favorite line of his to his wife in regards to that hug which I don’t feel should be mentioned in this forum. That convinced her that she was in fact near him. What does the Church say about these type of encounters? My Catholic upbringing tells me it would be impossible as he would at the very least be in Purgatory and not able to reach back like that?
