Suppose a Catholic priest is stranded on a desert island. The priest has with him a considerable supply of bread and wine, so he says Mass by himself and consecrates it. Then a new castaway washes up on the shore, who is not Catholic. Would the priest be allowed to feed him from the consecrated elements? There is no other food on the island, so he will starve to death unless he receives the Eucharist.

If he had a considerable amount of bread and wine, I don’t see why he would consecrate it all at once.

Haha I agree that it makes little sense, but that would ruin my dilemma. Let’s just say that this priest was a bit forgetful.

An extreme scenario, but logic says Yes. And there is a precedent. [BIBLEDRB]1 sam 21:1-5[/BIBLEDRB]
