jromero, When I was baptized back in the middle ages we did not choose a ‘patron saint’; we simply chose a Christian name; actually, since we were children our parents chose the name for us.
I have not heard of choosing a patron saint for Confirmation.
And it brings something else to mind. Why are the three Archangels called “Saint.” They are spiritual beings. I am sure someone will be able to answer that for me.
But, I agree that Michael would be a wonderful choice for a Confirmation name. I pray the Chaplet to St. Michael daily.
