If not then it seems to me that any Church where God is praised cannot be influenced by satan, thus ending the Catholic Church is the “whore of Babylon” claim. Please enlighten me if I’m wrong.
I know that.I guess it depends on whether the praise is genuine or feigned.
By the way, the Catholic Church has never been “the whore of Babylon.”
Satan cannot praise, but he can appear to, by mixing truth with lie.If not then it seems to me that any Church where God is praised cannot be influenced by satan, thus ending the Catholic Church is the “whore of Babylon” claim. Please enlighten me if I’m wrong.
So basicly if he does praise God, He’s lying. Sounds logical.I’m not a theologian, but this is my understanding.
Angels are totally integrated beings. They don’t have a separation of intellect and will the way we do. What they conclude, they will, and what they will, they do; with everything in them.
We reject God all the time in sin. But we can change our minds or, will to do the right thing even if we don’t personally agree…as in obeying the teachings of the Church even if we don’t “see the point”. We sometimes don’t do what we “will” to do, or do things we really don’t intend.
When Satan rejected God, it was thoroughly thought out, in a way we can’t possibly comprehend. Knowing what he was separating himself from, he chose himself, totally. And, he rejected God totally.
So, while Satan might pretend to praise God for some nefarious purpose, he can never mean it. That’s not to say good can’t come indirectly from his actions and praise for God be the result among men or among angels. But he can not praise God for real because he chose, long ago, never to do it. Once an angel makes a choice like that, it’s permanent and his whole being is supportive of that choice.
