I have a question. Is Satan allowed to read our thought on any level during our day. Also, is he allowed to know when we pray to God. Hope I have put this thread in the right forum.
This is a great summary by Catholic Dude. Satan is much smarter than we are and his ability and skill goes beyond what we might imagine. While Satan cannot read our minds, he can still plant temptation in our imaginations. Likewise, he can read our subtle responses to the temptation and cleverly exploit these to our potential detriment. A book that gives some idea of how Satan might operate was written by C.S. Lewis called The Screw Tape Letters. Reading this book gives you some idea of Satan’s tools and the seriousness of his intentions.I’ve wondered about that, but I’m pretty sure the answer is no. So Scoob is right here.
However, just because he cannot read thoughts does not mean he is stupid, that’s an error people forget. Often times the more evil one is, the more intelligent. He knows your weaknesses, knows how you do things, etc, and takes advantage with temptations there.

He may not be able to read our thoughts, but always remember that he knows your weaknesses even better than you do, and continually chips away at your armour to get at them. He’s sly and he’s a masterful liar.I have a question. Is Satan allowed to read our thought on any level during our day. Also, is he allowed to know when we pray to God. This is a interesting point. Maybe some here can give some insight that if our prayer are verbal and not sending our prayer to God in our thoughts can Satan hear this and use it to his advantage. I usually pray in my thoughts to God, but sometimes I do come before him verbally. Can he act on our prayers? I usually pray out loud. I talk about my fears and weaknesses to God. Can evil spirits listen and then use them to bring us down. Almost like a batter saying out loud that he cant hit a slider, the pitcher will throw them!
I also talk to my guardian angel in my mind. I assume he can hear me. Someone here said the angels can’t read our minds, but how else am I supposed to talk to my guardian angel? I’m certainly not going to do it out loud. This is a interesting point. Whether or not you know, all prayers that come to God through the Liturgy. And since the Divine Liturgy is where God is, there Satan cannot be. Hence, as someone pointed out, prayer time must be somehow shielded the damned one, since our personal prayer is never separated from the Liturgy. Can he act on our prayers? I usually pray out loud. No and Yes. No, they cannot act on your prayer, but they can distort your understanding of the response given to you from God.Can he act on our prayers? I usually pray out loud.
