This has been on my mind for a while now. If you were to lead someone to have done a venial sin, you’d obviously committed scandal (correct?), but is that sin venial Or mortal on your soul?
Also, how do you know if you’ve been the one to have committed scandal? Can two parties each inflict scandal on each other? What about the example below?
I, due to peer pressure, followed through with the request of three different groups (there were only three groups according to someone) of people doing a scavenger hunt for fun to help them. They weren’t supposed to have people they knew help them, but since I helped each group, I really don’t know if I helped one team cheat. Did I commit scandal? I asked some people who also were with me, and they said it wasn’t. Anyways, I don’t know if I committed scandal since they asked me to do this favor, I asked them if it was cheating (I didn’t get a clear answer), and fell in due to peer pressure. Also, I ended up helping each team so that no one got an advantage. Also, it was more of take-a-picture-with-people-who-are-doing-random-things hunt, so if the groups decided they were cheating, they could easily each uncheck the item and picture and find another person to take a picture with :S.
Opinions?
