Can science REALLY explain Reality?

Yes, of course it can. It’s the best method we have. Observing reality and performing experiments to see the outcome. It’s the best method we have. Picking a book up and claiming it be true proves nothing, and could be quite damaging to some people depending on what the book states.
What then would you say if someone defined Reality as “That which does not change?”

I don’t need any medical advice from you.

And I most certainly don’t need any advice from you on ensuring the health of my family.

As for the rest of your health and medical advice:

I hope viewers will take the time to read my entire conversation with atheistgirl on page 58 which was nearly a week ago. (I’m only using a section of her response.) Atheistgirl, you are arrogant and falsely attacked me though I realize you live on a island (UK) with your own ‘biased fantasy, delusion and unreason’. 😃 What a silly girly thing you did by placing a rubbish bin on a scientific topic! Shame on YOU! Perhaps you should reread what I wrote again. I wasn’t giving you advice but just sharing new information about HPV. What I was telling you was I don’t have time to argue with people. And a little BBC article (often biased) doesn’t compare to a scientific journal or reputable science website. Your mindset is strictly set because you think that I am a religious person, but I am also a scientist and do have a strong background in the medical community as well. I have two PhD’s! 🙂 Time is precious to me.

I did take note that you weren’t able to tell me in the previous conversation we had the name of the drug. Well, it is GARDASIL. And that information which I provided you near two weeks ago was from a reputable source in the United States of America. Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Infection affects children, women, and men. People don’t have to have sex to become infected with HPV.

The University of Rochester was awarded a U.S. patent for research essential to both human papillomavirus vaccines. The Kaiser Permanente study did note side effects for young girls after receiving Gardasil. “The side effects are non-serious and similar to those associated with other vaccines, according to a new study funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and published in the Journal of Women’s Health.” (April 03, 2012)

I’ll share this for now and may come back later with more information only if I don’t get silly and unkind remarks. I’m a very busy person and try my best to help people. Here is something that is important:
What important information about GARDASIL should I know?

You should continue to get routine cervical cancer screening.
GARDASIL may not fully protect everyone who gets the vaccine.
GARDASIL will not protect against HPV types that you already have.
Who should not get GARDASIL?
You should not get GARDASIL if you have, or have had:

an allergic reaction after getting a dose of GARDASIL.
a severe allergic reaction to yeast, amorphous aluminum hydroxyphosphate sulfate, polysorbate 80.

Minor edit noted in red. Also please know that Gardasil (Merck & Co.) and Cervarix (GlaxoSmithKline) [may: please see previous message]]protect against both HPV 16 and HPV 18, as well as *several *other types. The vaccines seem to be effective. Lancet Oncology studies mention: "Cervarix was 100 percent effective protecting young women who were not previously infected with HPV from HPV-caused cervical cancer, and offered substantial protection against cancer even for women already exposed to HPV. The U.S. Federal advisory panel recommended that it be used for boys as well as girls to prevent cancer (HPV 16, HPV 18, and several other types). *Please also take note what my previous message contained from the FDA.

Atheistgirl, you are arrogant and falsely attacked me
Nope.

I told you I don’t need medical advice from you.

Because, well, I don’t.
What a silly girly thing you did by placing a rubbish bin on a scientific topic!
Nope.

It was for your arrogance to presume to tell me how to look after my family’s health.
Shame on YOU!
Backatchya.
What I was telling you was I don’t have time to argue with people.
Well then, don’t.
People don’t have to have sex to become infected with HPV.
I never said they did.
Your mindset is strictly set because you think that I am a religious person, but I am also a scientist and do have a strong background in the medical community as well. I have two PhD’s! 🙂 Time is precious to me.
Oh just lol. 😃
I did take note that you weren’t able to tell me in the previous conversation we had the name of the drug.
Nope.

I chose to ignore you as I’m not discussing my family health with you or anyone else here. I received the advice I needed from our doctor, and I acted on it.

Please don’t take time out of your busy schedule to reply, well, certainly not on my behalf, and I won’t be reading it anyhow 😃

When I need to know anything about anything that affects the health of my children, my husband, or myself, I’ll take it up with our doctor.

Not someone on an internet forum. :hypno::hypno::hypno:

Please reference previous page. Please review the entire conversation between me and atheistgirl on the previous page since I’ve left out some of her reponses and review page 58.

Fine with me.🙂 You act like a troll. You obviously were interested in a subject, and I was kind enough to respond. Your ill intention in this discourse with me shows a lack of credibility and ignorance.

Sarah, use some common sense! If you insist on getting your children shots then of course discuss it with your doctor. I never implied you shouldn’t. I think any sensible person would read our conversation and realize that some of your comments were rather rude or silly. I provided excellent articles from scientific sources. The Federal Drug Administration was one of them and if you think its not worthy of praise then get yee out of the United States of America.
And you’re on this thread?

😃

Alan
Yeah. I’m on a break.

I believe God could. When we get to heaven that will be the unchanging reality, no?

And, I suppose, hell will be, too.
If we never change, though, and we’re not in heaven now, then hmmmm… I guess we’re really in heaven eternity minus one lifetime, less purgatory. Still eternity. :hmmm:

My Mentor said that Heaven is the feeling of Unity, hell of separation.
Nice. 👍

But all I had to do is get control of my emotions, and restructure the way I think. 🤓

Or is that, “unstructure” how I think?

It just seems too easy. Like a sneeze I’ve been needing, or a joke that finally hit me! 😛

Suffering’s joy now, and all that! :heaven:

Congrats on the sneeze! Few get that. If you tease out what happened in the sneeze in slomo and dissect what is implied by the re/un/structuring (you am in either case, it’s a famous “both/and”) resulting from “getting in control of (your) emotions,” you might have a cognitive line from the Source of your ability to do that to how you are enjoying the manifestation. But hey, don’t bother chatting about it with anyone who isn’t wiping their nose, eh? They have to get the punch line on their own. It is so experiential that it has no meaning even if handed to a pre-sneezer on a gold platter. It is, as you know, that radical. And I hope anyone not wiping their nose looks up “radical” and its etymology.

Here is a poem about “suffering joy now”:

We, Who Witness the Heart
*
We, who witness the Heart, are naked, walking
Bemused through countless avenues of feeling.
We are tracked by the stares of those who hide,
Cowering, not daring to look inside
The deep blue shade that’s caused, somehow,
By living anywhere but Now.
*
We wander with purpose, undermining
All the ordinary lack of meaning
Of the prosaic run-of-the mill man
Or woman who scrambles to sense what they can
Through the anesthetic layers of culture
Fed to them by any corporate vulture
Who can grab their hungry attention and stuff
Into their minds froth and pale commercial fluff.
*
You and I have met here serendipitously,
Not looking for each other, but consciously
Knowing that the Universe is not so unkind
As to prevent any true Seeker from the Find
Of this lifetime—or the string of them all—
That would burst them through this world’s sensory wall
Into the Freedom that can send one flying, reeling,
Into the realms of heartfelt feeling.
*
Here I truly, squarely stand
Stretching forth this trembling hand
Holding out an olive branch
That is very nearly wrenched
From incoherent fingers
By a shaking that won’t stanch
A feeling that still lingers.
*
My cheeks are drenched
Weeping, sobbing, belly laughing,
Through the blissful pain of Being.
Laughing through the pain I feel,
Knowing only Now is Real,
I extend my hand to you,
Trusting you can feel this, too.

If we never change, though, and we’re not in heaven now, then hmmmm… I guess we’re really in heaven eternity minus one lifetime, less purgatory. Still eternity. :hmmm:
Not sure what you’re saying, Alan.

Is your premise correct? Do we never change?

I’m just playing word games. If we “get to” heaven that seems to imply we made a change in going from not-in-heaven to heaven. And if we existed in a state of “not-in-heaven” at some time, including our mortal lifetimes, then heaven is eternity minus one.
The CC says that heaven is the Mass.
That’s interesting. I’m sure some people really do feel like they are in paradise while at Mass. For myself, I’ve pretty much experienced the entire range. But since I almost constantly feel like I’m in paradise, Mass is an added bonus. 🙂

You all have great and valid perspectives, and to recognize how they are all valid, simply use the science of creating a true friend given the knowledge of the aspects of friendships, and given absolutely nothing else physical other than yourself.

For example:
A true friend freely chooses to be with you.
One part of the science must be:
Since there is nothing else physical in existence, if you created a physical person in your realm of existence, you would be forcing them to be with you. Therefore, you must create two places: A place where you and your friend will reside once your friend chooses to be with you, and a place for your friend to reside until s/he freely chooses to be with you.

The graceful way of stating all of this is: In the beginning God created heaven, and earth.
