Thats quite interesting, I like the fact they tested some wafers and they rotted, and did several tests altogether.
Are there any of healings? perhaps medically proven?
Ive read and seen a bit on the shroud. But that one I feel they will never prove completely, my thoughts on it and perhaps other miracles is then people will believe in for example the shroud, and not Christ. So God will not allow something of His to be misused. Just my thought.

Although I know some people misunderstand and come to think of objects like lucky rabbits feet, we can see in scripture that God does in fact choose to heal through people as well as objects, called “relics” by the Catholic church. It is the nature of man to twist those miracles and gifts, but that does not mean that the God did not work through relics in the first place. The shroud of Turin MAY be able to have miracles from it, by God’s power, but I believe it is locked away from human touch, since many see the miracle as being the image itself. Again, there is danger that people fail to see WHERE the healing power comes from, but this has ever been a problem and still God chooses to heal through relics and people. We DO have to guard against false prophets but we can’t let our skepticism stop us from remembering that God chooses to heal in many different ways.

Here is a site that has the “official” mircales that have occured within the Catholic Church. Not to say there are not many more, but these ones have been investigated and proven true. While we are not required to believe in them, we can look to them with confidence and know that it is God’s divine hand in these occurances.

That is something that I like since it IS fascinating but scripture has many warnings about false prophets. It is nice for me to be able to explore these wonderous works and know that they ARE from God.

), but have not been approved as official apparitions by the Catholic Church. There are very strict guidelines that must be met. That page has links to that information.
One thing I learned while trying to gather this information for you is that to be declared a “Saint” that we know is in heaven, there need to be at least 3 miracles that have occured AFTER the person has died. For example, Pope John Paul the II has many miracles attributed to him (by the power of God, all Glory to Him
), but there needs to be at least two verified miracles that occur AFTER his death for him to be declared a saint. (Since we believe that when someone dies, they don’t stop doing God’s work and just as people were healed through their prayers while on earth, this will happen after they die also.) I knew that there need to be verified miracles, but I did not know that the miracles had to occur after death. This does make sense though since the declarations are saying that we know this person is in heaven, it is okay to ask them to pray for us. And we can’t say this just based on what they did on this earth, for we don’t know the state of their soul at the moment of their death.
