Last year my young daughter went to a birthday party. One of the children invited was not Christian. Most of the other children at the party were all from the same class and they were learning about the sacraments. Some how they learned that this one child was not baptized and explained that baptism washes away original sin and makes one a child of God and ask the boy if he wanted to be baptized. He said yes and they proceeded to baptize him.
I know that in emergency situations, anyone can baptize and that was certainly not the case here.
… But, did “anything” actually happen when they “baptized” him?
