Israel captured vast areas of land as a result of the various wars it got involved in. Yet it gave back almost all of it. And it still gets abuse. The “give-backs” earned Israel NOTHING! in terms of good will with its neighbors.

You said there was NO vile hatred of Muslims for the Jews. I posted example after example of what the mainstream Arab media and Arab leaders say about the Jews on a day to day basis. You responded by comparing me white supremacy groups but now the Real HOOT-you post a bunch of links that prove my ppoint. Every link you posted reflects the knee jerk, unreasoned haterd the Arabs have for the Jews. I could not have done a better job of picking the links myself-Thanks!
Actually, I never said that. When you attempt to put words in other people’s mouths it’s time to realize you lost. Considering all the links involve Jewish terrorists and Jewish killing of Arabs the only thing it proves is that extremists and bigots, like you, make progress impossible.
You don’t have a point to prove, you have a childish assertation that is devoid of logic or reason. Of course I don’t expect deep thinking from someone whose bigotry is so obvious. What’s next, pulling out the FBI’s uniform crime statistic report to “prove” other minorities you don’t like are savages and criminals?

I would imagine that little “6 days war” still sticks in a few people’s craw, eh?
I fail to see why anyone thinks the six day war was so impressive. The Israelis were outfitted by the United States, it would have only been impressive if the Egyptians had actually won. When you look at how well the Egyptians actually did fair, inspite of their technological disadvantage, the Israeli military didn’t preform very well. It would have been more interesting if the Egyptians hadn’t agreed to end the war and continued with their counter offensive instead.

Of course not, when have Muslims ever been reasonable in that manner? They didn’t stop trying to invade Europe because they wanted to be nice, they were beaten. Any Jew that choses to live in Israel is going to have to come to terms with the fact he’s surrounded by hostile governments. He also has to live with the fact that if American/Israeli relations ever became strained to the point we wouldn’t give them any more weapons and parts for their aircraft he might as well just commit suicide.
The Muslim population will continue to grow and the Jewish population will continue to decline. In the not too distant future that fact is going to be the cause of something quite nasty.

Oh yeah, that’s comical. How long did the Egyptian Air Force last? 15 minutes. It was an entire day before the had the guts to notify the President (or is it Prime Minister) that they had no Air Force.

No, the Egyptians and the other countries outmanned Israel by what? 40 - 1? The difference is, Israel maintained the weapons that they bought from the United States (the other countries let their weapons go to pot) and Israel had a communications system that actually worked (the others never let bad news filter upstream for fear of their livelihood).

Could you explain why Egypt caught of the naval access to Israel and amassed their troops on the border if they knew they were so out-gunned?

Would you like to talk about the Yom-Kippur War, while we’re at it?

The Arabs couldnt have outnumbered them as CCM08 says they are the minority and when you point out the hate they spew that makes you the same as the KKK. I also notice, however, that he claims this “minority’s” birth rate will allow them to acomplish their goal of wiping the jews off the face of the earth(or at least killing all those in Israel). I guess after all the Jews are dead the Arabs will quit spewing anti-semetic hate .

Well, IMO the anti-semetic hate will just be replaced with anti-(insert your nationality here) hate.

Are you saying that the Arabs (Muslims) could not have outnumbered the Israels?

Don’t get your panties in a wad when you get called on your tactics. If you don’t like being compared to Neo-Nazis then don’t resort to their tactics. Yes, when you attempt to paint an entire group of people as violent animals it makes you a bigot.
I don’t think the person you mentioned was doing that. Seems to me he was only pointing out that there is widespread hatered against the Jews in the Middle East and some Muslim communities, I never saw him generalize or stereotype it to all muslim or arabic people. I don’t think you can seriously deny that he is absolutely correct, right? I mean you should take a look at what is comming out of major media and leaders over there. Would someone be wrong in the 1930s if they pointed out there is major hate against the Jews amongst the Germans??? And the fact you are calling him the nazi is a bit ironic…

I am sure the irony is lost on him. The really funny part was that he replied to my post showing the examples of this hatred with links to anti-semetic hate sites . I guess his point was the hatred was justified?

:rotfl:

One of my Muslim friends drinks O’Doul’s, believe it or not!

Non-alcoholic beer.

He’s not really uptight. I don’t know if he’s skirting the rules. Never asked him.
Nope, he’s not “skirting” the rules. Drinking non-alcoholic beer is perfectly fine for Muslims.

I think the original question is filled with judgment. It’s more a rhetorical question than a genuine question but I’ll answer anyway. I don’t have a ‘blind hatred’ of Israel. However, I’m not going to act like they haven’t created a system of apartheid that constantly keeps Palestinians oppressed socially and economically. Part of the reason why they have successfully maintained this system is because of Western (primarily British and American) support. Another reason is because Arab governments have literally sold their souls and have decided to turn their cheeks to the wrong being done against the Palestinians in return for support for their political career. The frustration of Arabs especially and Muslims in general is understandable.

I don’t want Israel to be blown off the planet. What I would like to see is equal Israeli/Palestinian states that can peacefully co-exist. However, there are too many on both sides who don’t want to see this happen. So we continue in this hatred-filled, bloody cycle.

And part of the reason for this is because they know that Israel would cease to exist if they didn’t.

I think you are off little here. The Arab leaders high-light this situation in order to foment hatred for the Jews, hoping the “rabble” wouldn’t realize their own plights for their oppresion.

I think Israel would like nothing more than to peacefully co-exist in this region. They realize the numbers stacked up against them, and know that this is the only way they can achieve permanence in the region. Sadly, they feel that they are rather unique in this opinion among their neighbors.

Muslims hate ersatz-Israel for the same reason Christians and Orthodox Jews hate ersatz-Israel:

Because it’s blasphemous!!!

To support ersatz-Israel is to support the notion that God is working through the United Nations! That is, the United Nations (and Zionism, in general) is the Messiah.

You are now entering the Twilight Zone…

The charter of the elected Govt of the Paelstinians calls for the elimninaton of Israel, as do the Govts of all the countires surrounding them.Is that a basis for peaceful co-existence?

I support Israel simply because I dislike genocide. It’s also rather nice to have a genuine ally in the Middle East.

Nothing more, nothing less.
