I know the real pressence. I know that is the body and blood of christ. I know that it can forgive (venial) sins. It is also the sacrament that Jesus established at the last supper.

I have only adored the blessed sacrament a few times, but somehow the feeling isn’t very friendly. Would someone experienced explain to me the way I should see and feel the blessed sacrament? Like… whenever I glare at the tabernacle I always have a feeling of fear.

I don’t know very much, but I see the blessed sacrament as medicine. I know Jesus is there, but he doesn’t seem to talk to me… help?

First I would tell you to stop looking to “feel” anything. Secondly if this fear is a Holy Fear then it is good: "with fear and trembling work out your salvation."–Philippians 2:12. You will know when the fear is bad because you will doubt Gods Mercy. Thirdly talk to God personally. Tell Him you feel afraid. Tell Him what’s on your mind. Fourthly if you have nothing to say or nothing to think about then bask in the quietness. As sleep helps the body regenerate, silence helps the soul.

It helps me to read something theological or a prayer book in the Adoration Chapel. If you are still new at it, it might work for you. Also, as Credo said, feelings don’t “count” at judgment. God wants you to have faith. :o

I know it’s hard and that you want feelings to help yourself to know that God is present. As Catholics we are called to love Jesus and love Jesus present in the Holy Eucharist in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, good feelings and bad feelings. I reccomend visiting the Adoration Chapel and going to Mass as much as you can, and reading Scripture or other religious material. Trust me, that will ease a lot of your worry

Consider praying slowing the following prayer of St Thomas Aquinas.

Adore Te Devote

I devoutly adore you, O hidden Deity,
Truly hidden beneath these appearances.
My whole heart submits to you,
And in contemplating you,
It surrenders itself completely.
Sight, touch, taste are all deceived
In their judgment of you,
But hearing suffices firmly to believe.
I believe all that the Son of God has spoken;
There is nothing truer than this word of truth.
On the cross only the divinity was hidden,
But here the humanity is also hidden.
I believe and confess both,
And ask for what the repentant thief asked.
I do not see the wounds as Thomas did,
But I confess that you are my God.
Make me believe more and more in you,
Hope in you, and love you.
O memorial of our Lord’s death!
Living bread that gives life to man,
Grant my soul to live on you,
And always to savor your sweetness.
Lord Jesus, Good Pelican,
wash me clean with your blood,
One drop of which can free
the entire world of all its sins.
Jesus, whom now I see hidden,
I ask you to fulfill what I so desire:
That the sight of your face being unveiled
I may have the happiness of seeing your glory. Amen

This is so profound a prayer…even our doubt and lack of feeling submits to God!!!

People were unable to see his divinity (what we really need) even in His physical body. That need faith. To see him in the Eucharist also need faith.

The fear of God is good start, to understand, what the Eucharist is.
