Yes I do believe there are people who are only attracted to the same sex and can never be attracted to the opposite sex. Now that doesn’t mean that gay people can’t have heterosexual sex, they can. Sexual actions are different from orientation. Why does this happen? Who knows. It seems to be a variant of sexuality that is all.
Can you tell me what it is that leads you to believe “there are people who are only attracted to the same sex
and can never be attracted to the opposite sex”?

God bless

A “variant…, that is all”? A severely flawed one I would have thought. It renders ineffective the reproductive drive of the person.
Not everyone has to or should reproduce. And for those same-sex couples who do want children, science has provided ways to do this. And there is always adoption. 🤷

How about personal experience? I am only attracted to the same-sex and have never been attracted to the opposite sex.

You find those equivalent to reproduction? I think my point is valid - if it is a variation, it is a flawed one. I support research to understand why it happens an to determine if it is preventable or correctable.

Doesn’t original sin have everything to do with temptation by Satan?

God bless
Someone our the temptations are from Satan, but some are of the world, and some are from our flesh.

Also, the temptation could be from Satan, but the inclination towards a particular temptation doesn’t necessarily originate from him, but our own brokenness.

And why are you fixated on the issue of reproduction? Not everyone must reproduce or wants to reproduce and for those who don’t want to, that’s OK. If a small percentage of the population does not reproduce, it will not doom the human race to extinction. It’s certainly possible to have a fulfilling life without having children.

Absolutely. That one cannot reproduce is not the issue. That SSA is regarded as a “normal variation in sexuality”, like hair color is a normal variation, is the nonsense I reject.

In other words, it’s proximate cause may be in our physical makeup. And it may be preventable, for it surely is not beneficial, nor even neutral.

I don’t want to offend you and I don’t believe that this is the correct venue to discuss your personal situation.
I don’t know the path that lead you to where you are today but I can say with confidence that it is not the Lord
that calls you to SSA.

God bless

I believe this is at the heart of the error by the Church. The sexual aspect is only related to
this temptation.

I do not believe that the Church has ever before connected a temptation to a “class of person”.
I believe the Lord looks at us as individual creations.

God bless

The SSA isn’t a class or persons, its manifestations of brokenness. Anger is also brokenness, would you say a person who is prone to anger is only tempted by satan. We all have brokenness and it manifests in different temptations and different trials. Sometimes the trails and temptations are from our flesh, some from the world, and some from Satan. To deny the first two sources of temptations is wrong in my opinion.

Your perception of reality doesn’t change reality, it merely colors it for yourself.

When the Church says a group of people has the capacity to “experience an exclusive … sexual
attraction toward persons of the same sex” isn’t the Church defining a “class of person” the so called
“homosexual person” I believe that this a serious error by the Church that the Church needs to correct
for the Lord.

I don’t believe that SSA is a “class of person” but a group of people only capable of SSA would be a “class of person”.

God bless

And yet so many people report that they feel SSA and no attraction for the opposite sex! The reports of those who seek to respect Gods law and yet endure their unwanted inclinations are particularly touching. Some appear to be able to overcome, but many not.

I’m confused, do you believe people aren’t capable of experiencing exclusive sexual attraction towards the same sex?

Other than male and female the only other type of person the Church recognizes is the “homosexual person”
as far as I know and only by self identification. Should the Church recognize other types of persons
“transgender” for example if they self identify as such?

God bless

You are correct to be more precise I don’t believe anyone is incapable of being attracted to persons of the opposite sex.

People who suffer dysphoria, autism, etc. we recognize these conditions. People who suffer SSA? Yes, I think we can recognize there are people who endure this condition too.

Psychology can be good and helpful it is often open to interpretation are you suggesting that the Church
should recognize the “transgender person” and then any other self identified type of person psychology
puts the stamp of approval on? Some in psychology present that God is a delusion should we accept
that as well?

As for autism I believe that this is a physical defect I do not believe that people who consider themselves
a “homosexual person” are physically defective but rather confused.

God bless
