Good job. Beats my music director who only narrowed it down to Couperin, Clerambault, or Frescaboli.

As far as its being Baroque, hmm. Could be the Rococo period 50 some years after Trent.

I really like his Mass in C minor - can’t say I’ve knowingly heard the B minor though, I’ll keep an eye out to add it to my collection. Of course I have practically worn out my CDs of the Brandenberg Concertos, probably my favourite classical music of all time.
Oh, my goodness!!! His Mass in B Minor is glorious - A masterpiece. I used to always sing the mezzo/alto arias to cheer me up whenever I got a little down.

Awesome!!! Thanks to your music director! 🙂

According to my organist friend, he’s not quite sure of the piece, but it is either French Baroque (Couperin, Clerambault) or Italian Baroque (Frescaboli).
Our organist says it’s French Baroque, but doesn’t know the piece.

I keep watching this video and well, tears keep forming especially at the consecration. I know most High Masses were not of this caliber, but I would do anything to see one of this beauty.

I am excited about my parish’s Easter Vigil and I hope it brings out just as high a response as this video does.
