A friend was given the book “Set Free by Forgiveness” by Randall O’Brien. He’s Baptist from the get-go. Before I tell her I would recommend she NOT read this book (she asked my opinion), I’d like to give her the name of a good Catholic book on forgiveness (as in forgiving others, not confession).

Thank you for any assistance you can give.

God bless,
Debbie

just click where it says “messages” at the top right of the screen and you should get there.

I read a pretty good one during my divorce…but the writer was not Catholic…I think he was a mainstream protestant minister. I think it’s called “Forgive for Good”…I can check later if you need.

Two that are on my bookshelf are:

(1) from psychological point of view…
To Forgive is Human - How to Put Your Past in the Past
by Michael E. McCullough, PH.D.
Steven J. Sandage, M.S.
Everett L. Worthington Jr. PH.D.

(2) from a Catholic point of view…
To Forgive is Divine
by Father Robert DeGrandis, S.S.J.

I recommend both for a variety of reasons. Have to say, after I wrote out the titles I was a little amused (divine vs. human).
