Can someone tell me if i need to go to confession

So someone just asked me for HW answers and i gave it to them, and earlier on i used someone else’s to help me finish mine, did i commit mortal sin?
 
I’d ask a priest. Probably depends on the homework assignment and the implications / weight of the assignment in the scheme of the overall course grade. If it was 1% of your semester grade that seems very different than a project worth 33% of your grade.

By the way, the teacher in me just has to say - you do realize you’re not learning the material this way & it’s going to come back to bite you after, right? Okay off my soapbox.

No. It is not a serious matter (as far as sin goes). But it is not a virtuous thing - and it is unhelpful for everyone.
