What a perfect way to act to start, during and end of the day?? like prayer wise, actions, etc… because, sometimes i don’t think i am praying enough or what i should be praying. i usually always pray in the morning and at night, but i know i should be praying more… but what kinds of prayers? rosary, and what else . thankssss 🙂

You could pray the Liturgy of the Hours (Google it and several links will come up).

You could pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy (instructions on how to pray it here).

Simply praying the Our Father several times throughout the day seems to give me peace.

You could start praying Novenas (good link here).

You could also pray Litanies (link found here).

We always feel like we could do more when it comes to praying. Hopefully the above recommendations will help. 🙂

While the traditional repetitive devotions and prayers are good for meditation, I believe that above all, God wants to KNOW us intimately. He wants to hear our own words, deepest thoughts, feelings, concerns and desires. Asking him to conform our will to his or asking his intervention in the life of someone facing distress or illness is also good. Building a relationship with his God the Father through His Son is a work in progress for me. I always have to remind myself to give him praise and thanksgiving too.

catholicity.com/mccloskey/sevenhabits.html

Father John McCloskey, the priest who helped to convert a whole slew of notable converts (like Bernard Nathanson, former head of NARAL, Lawrence Kudlow, Robert Novak, Judge Robert Bork and Senator Sam Brownback) penned this to provide some suggestions for leading a prayerful day (and life). Everyone I know who lives by some or all of these is glad that they do. (FWIW, I’m not there yet - I do some of these things, but not all of them).

I agree with this completely. I was speaking with my mom about this same topic not too long ago. She said, “It’s easy to go through the motions - going to Mass, saying the Novenas, saying the Rosary, etc. - but having an intimate relationship with God is the foundation to any strong prayer life.”

I second this idea. What better way to pray your way through the various “hours” of the day (i.e., morning, evening or night) than with the liturgy of the hours?

I third the Liturgy of the Hours! 🙂

My husband and I like to pray it together, and we find that it brings a routine into prayer life. Of course, spontaneous prayer throughout the course of the day is also important, but I’d really encourage the Liturgy of the Hours. There is a condensed version (one book instead of four) that is wonderful to get started with.

You could do a Morning Offering Prayer when you wake up. When I remember to pray one :o it helps me focus my day on God. Here’s one that I found in the CA prayer section:

“O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of your sacred heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all the apostles of prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.”

I’ve also read recommendations on examining your conscience before you go to bed at night (I’m still trying to remember this as well :o ).

Hope this helps.
