If a non-Catholic has had an abortion in her past, is it possible for her to convert to the Catholic faith?

Yes, of course. If the person has never been baptized, the abortion would be sacramentally forgiven when she is baptized into the Church. If the person had the abortion after a valid non-Catholic baptism, she would confess the abortion during her first confession just prior to being received into the Church. Having had an abortion is not an impediment to being received into the Catholic Church.
