After the Our Father the priest says
“Lord Jesus Christ, you said to your apostles: I leave you peace, my peace I give you. Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and grant us the peace and unity of your kingdom where you live for ever and ever.
A: Amen.”
Right?
Wrong.
At mass today the priest got the laity to say it. I just kept my mouth shut. And it’s happened before in a Parish 30 km away. I figured then it was just one priest trying to involve the laity more, and my spiritual director told me it was wrong, but that I shouldn’t worry about it (he is usually very orthodox).
Am I wrong about this? I thought the priest and ONLY the priest could say this sentence?
Im in the U.K but I suppose it makes no difference?
God Bless,
