Can the priest have the consecration outside of Mass?

Can a priest consecrate hosts outside of the Mass in an emergency situation, ie, if there are not enoough consecrated hosts foro Communion?
 
Hi,

No, the consecration is always to be celebrated in the context of the Liturgy. Context is so important because it puts us into contact with the reason for our actions. To pull actions out of their context is to act in ignorance and to spread such ignorance as well.
