Hello,
I have a complicated question. Throughout the internet, I have seen Protestants saying Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! on Facebook etc. This as been adopted by Catholic who have effectively replaced the usual Catholic response of “Amen” with “Hallelujah! Praise the Lord”. Currently for every six Catholic responses of “Amen” one person would say “Hallelujah! Praise the Lord” or just “Praise the Lord!”
The weight of the the word “Amen” is strong I know, but can it be one day replaced with “Hallelujah! Praise the Lord”? I feel the distinctive response “Amen” carries forth the Catholic identity which seems to be falling a part thus it is being repalced with “Hallelujah! Praise the Lord”.
Thanks.
