You’re playing with words here; 2 means the same thing as binary 10.In the binary system.there is no 2, there is only 1 and zero. so in that system:
1 + 1 = 10.

This assumes that the things that are being added are cumulative. If you one apple and get another you will have 2 (binary 10, for those who count with their hands vs the rest who count with their fingers).
Not everything is additive. To have more of nothing does not increase its nothingness, although a sense hopeless helplessness may increase. If one is free of want, one cannot be twice as free. Pain too has that quality, since it is experienced by one person. We may empathize and be moved to greater pity, seeing thousands of people suffering, but it may be said that the total amount of pain in the universe amounts to the suffering of one person. Two photons moving parallel, each would experience the other as standing still. Going in the opposite direction, both travelling at the same speed of light, the distance between them would increase at the speed of light. Perplexing, ain’t it? It doesn’t seem right, the light from the sun goes at the speed of light hitting an object equally distant from it at the same time. So they should be separating at a speed twice the speed of light.
