This may seem like an odd question, but here’s my explanation for why I’m confused.
I know that we are allowed to ask other Christians to pray for us because they are believers in Jesus Christ. We are also allowed to ask Jews and Muslims to pray for use because they pray to the God of Abraham. We are not, however, supposed to ask Buddhists, Hindu’s, Pagans, etc. to pray for us because they would be praying to false gods.
So what about Mormons / Jehova’s Witnesses? While it’s true that they believe they are praying to Jesus and God, their understanding of Him is broken enough that we can’t technically consider them Christian.
As a result of this, does the Church consider their prays to be efficacious and properly directed?
