Can we be Catholic Godparents at a Lutheran Baptism?

As devout Roman Catholics, should my wife and I be Godparents for the baby of dear Lutheran friends of ours? This would be a Lutheran Baptism during a Lutheran service. I would assume if we are the Godparents of this Lutheran baby we should support the child throughout her life, to become the best Lutheran she could be.
