Can we trust the archeological findings of Ron Wyatt?

What do you Catholics out there make of the archeological evidence of Protestant Ron Wyatt for Noah’s Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah, The Ark of the Covenant, The Drowning of Pharaoh’s Army, The Rock from which Water Came, The Golden Calf Altar, The Location of Mt. Sinai, etc.

Are his findings considered reliable???

I won’t put too much faith in the late Mr. Wyatt’s ‘discoveries’ as his evidences are too weak and have been discredited time and time again - he’s not even a formal archeologist!

I would be inclined to put his findings in a “Maybe File” and hope that other well known archeologists with real experience and proper training would some day look over his evidence and say yes he was right or very close to it. DO not discount a person just because he or she is a protestant , your vary actions could be what is needed to convert them to HMC or drive them off into deeper rejection and ultra protestantism . We need to show love and understanding NOT hatred mistrust and superiority over protestant ideas , and keep our own personal mistrust and ignorance out of the picture if we expect to win converts to the true church.

What difference does it make either way? It should have no impact on your faith.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not discounting Wyatt because he is a Protestant, but because I just find his discoveries unconvincing (apparently, so did many). Whether he turns out to be right or wrong technically does not really matter for me.

I keep a keen eye on archeological findings, but they are not all important to me.

P.S. I think Noah’s Ark still exists, I think it really is the “Ararat Anomoly”, especially after seeing that Sattelitte Image from a few years back… but is that really important? nup.
