Can writing a novel be sinful?

I have a bit of a strange question, but it is coming from someone who suffers from scruples. For a long time now I have been interested in writing. I have had some very good ideas for drama novels. The problem I am facing, and one think that keeps me from writing is that there is romance in my stories. Not the inappropriate stuff you find nowadays. But I put myself in the role of the leading lady and a real life person who is generally not my husband (as he doesn’t fit the character) in the role of the leading man. In order to write how my love struck character would act I often have to “daydream” the story out. I am afraid that imagining myself in love with someone else is being unfaithful to my husband. Do you have any thoughts for me? Should I give up the idea? I want my faith to come first.
