Okay, I did some searching on witchcraft because I had a friend that was under medical care of a women who was not a medical doctor. She believed everything she told her about her health, what was happening to her and being cancer free. It took a special night of prayer of adoration just for her and her family along with lots of other prayers to break what I called a spiritual bondage that this women held over her. She has since passed away from breast cancer that was treated way to late and leaves behind 6 young children.

I’ve explained to a Catholic friend that Ms. C ( the person who treated my friend) used a form of spiritual bondage or witchcraft on our friend. I also stated that she too, along with many of us who think we are doing more good than harm, may be using the same type of tools on her loved ones and their friends. This being , fear, manipulation and domination.

Does the Catholic Church believe this to be a form of witchcraft and if so, can you direct me to a good article. I’ve already read the Cathecism but it doesn’t go into enough detail.
I know the Protestant Church believes this to be a form of witchcraft, so I told my friend and she said she does not want to hear it unless it came from a Catholic site.
Can you help me?

Thank you,
