Can you answer question on valid Confession before Sunday Mass?

I went to confession this afternoon, and really tried to make a good confession when confessing my sins. The priest asked me to say the Act of Contrition, which I did. However, I was about half way through it, and caught myself not focusing on what I was saying. So the second half of my Act of Contrition I focused on the words and their meaning:(. After I left the confessional, I went to the chapel and said the Act of Contrition again…a couple of times…I get scrupulous. Was my confession valid.

I’m doing this at 10:20 p.m. I hope you look at this before you leave for Mass. Your Confession was valid. It’s validity is not determined by how perfectly you perform. Give you attention to your crucified Lord and His love for you. His love can always make up for our lack. It is never good for people who have scruples to keep going over the past.
