you can be confirmed whenever and wherever your bishop calls you for confirmation, after completing whatever preparation he has mandated and if you are worthily disposed. Normally the bishop calls those of a specific age (in the US, between 7 & 18, in this diocese it is age 16 or 10th grade) when he visits their home parish. He also calls adults who missed their chance in HS to a special celebration on Pentecost each year. He has specified a program of instruction and spiritual preparation (2 school years for teens, one calendar year for adults). If for some reason a youth cannot be present when the bishop visits his own parish, with the permission of both his own and the other pastor, he can be confirmed at another parish with their group. That is something the candidate and his parents and pastor should work out if there is a good reason. For instance, one teen missed our parish celebration because of a death in the family, and was confirmed later in the month at the neighboring parish.
