Can you consecrate yourself to more than one Saint?

I’m still new to the faith and not sure. I was told by my sponsor that you can consecrate yourself to more than one saint. For example I consecrated myself to St Michael my confirmation saint. But can you also consecrate yourself to Mary, or St Raphael? I said those prayers recently but as I said before I’m new and I’m not sure how all this works.

You are not limited to one saint, but it may be more beneficial to stick with one as a primary saint. In fact I would recommend that you stick with St. Michael for the time being and later add an additional saint if you feel called to do so.

It is better to have one good devotional relationship, than many sub-par relationships.

One point if clarification… I think it is more accurate to say that you are consecrating yourself to Jesus through Mary or another saint. I find it misleading, especially for the ignorant, to communicate it the other way

The underlying theology for this devotional practice has undergone evolution. Since Pope Saint John Paul II, the preferred term is “act of entrustment.” This better expressed the matter.

Consecration is effected by God in definitive circumstances of liturgical significance and has an ecclesiastical dimension. In these sort of situations being considered here, it is applicable only by way of analogy and in an extended way.

When looked upon in this new vision, yes…you can certainly entrust yourself to more than one saint. Doing so may be, in fact, quite appropriate such as asking Saint Joseph of the Parents of the Virgin to be patron of one’s Marian devotion…or, for that matter, Saint Catherine Laboure, Saint Bernadette of Lourdes, or Saints Jacinta and Francisco Marto of Fatima.
