Hello,
I’m having difficulties understanding Indulgence. If our sins are forgiven, why are we punished for our sins? I understand that to get into heaven we must be purified. But doesn’t forgiveness, repentance, and devotion take away our sins and purify us? I read the Catechim of the Catholic Church and The Biblical Basis for the Catholic Faith by John Salza and I’m still not completely sure I understand. I’m also having difficulties explaining where indulgence and purgatory are found in the
Bible. Could you help me understand?
Thank you,
