Can you explain Mary as Virgin throughout her life?

This morning’s scripture reading (Mark 6:1-6) refers to Jesus’ brothers James, Joses, Judas & Simon (along with unnamed sisters). Would this not imply that Mary could have had marital relations with Joseph after the birth of Jesus? Thank you!
