Hello there, Im not sure what an apologist is…(is that how you spell it?)…lol…In any case, I understand that you teach that God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are one being.

My understanding (I am an ex-LDS) is that they are 3 distinct beings. When Jesus was baptised by John, a voice came out from the heavens, saying “this is my beloved son…”, and the Holy Ghost (who has not yet received a physical body) appeared in the form of a white dove. LDS use this as evidence of the Godhood being individual Gods, but one in purpose.

Please explain.

Hi again,

An apologist is one who explains and defends. For over 2000 years the Catholic Church has taught that the Holy Trinity is one God in three distinct Persons. They are co-equal and co-eternal. This is an essential tenant of Christianity and is held by most people who consider them selves to be Christians. In fact, most Christian churches do not consider the LDS church to be Christian because it does not hold the basic Christian tenant of the Holy Trinity.
