Can you give me Biblical references for Purgatory?

I heard a Priest in a sermon mention the word PRISON in his discussion regarding purgatory. Where can I find a number of these places in the bible (old or new testament) where the reference to PRISON is a reference to purgatory? Thank you…Tom
