Hello,
I recently encountered some people from the WMSCOG church. They have some really weird interpretations of the bible, for example like there are two gods. So they set up a time and we agreed to meet so that we could talk about these differences, and my goal is to show them that the Catholic church is their home, and how they should return to it. Did I do wrong by accepting a debate? I have never debated on matters like these before, but I have studied a little on Catholic theology. My question is, is starting the argument by showing them which Church Jesus left an authority to, and therefore any interpretations outside of the Catholic church are wrong. I plan to start by analyzing Mathew 16:18, and the history of an unbroken line of popes. Is this a good place to start my argument, do you any resources that I can read from the early fathers of the church that can aid me in my argument.
Thank you very much for your time, I would really appreciate your answer. God Bless. [BIBLEDRB][/BIBLEDRB]
